Our Story

From Cambodia to Melbourne.

ANGKOR began with memories of family cooking: fragrant herbs, recipes passed between generations and a table where hospitality meant making room for one more guest.

For Chef Neri, Cambodian food is inseparable from family. It lives in the aromas of lemongrass and galangal, in fresh kroeung prepared for the day, and in the care taken over dishes that cannot be rushed.

A family recipe becomes a Melbourne table.

ANGKOR was created to give Cambodian cuisine a proud, welcoming home in Melbourne. The menu does not hide behind a generic label. It introduces guests to Khmer flavours through dishes that feel both distinctive and deeply comforting.

My Grandmother’s Dish is at the emotional centre of that story — a reminder that a recipe can carry memory, generosity and belonging. Around it sit the curries, grills, salads and shared plates that make an Angkor meal feel generous and alive.
